- Cover Letter: Include a brief introduction of yourself, your writing background, and a synopsis of your project. Explain why you believe your work is a good fit for Sulfur Editions.
- Manuscript: Submit your complete manuscript as a Word document (.doc or .docx). Please ensure your manuscript is properly formatted, double-spaced, with page numbers.
- Translation (if applicable): If your work is a translation, please include the original text alongside the translated version. Provide information about the translator and their qualifications.
- Author’s Statement: A brief statement about your creative vision, your influences, and what you hope to achieve with your work.
Important Notes:
- We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- We strive to respond to all submissions within [insert timeframe here], but please be patient as we are a small, collaborative team.
- In some projects, we ask the author to contribute symbolic support to develop the cooperative’s activities.
- Authors retain many options for creative control over their works.
- Sulfur Editions operates on a cooperative model. Authors, translators, editors, and designers may participate in the profits of the published work.
- We are committed to distributing your work through various online platforms (Google Books, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) and through Ingram Book Company for brick-and-mortar bookstores.
- We are interested in exploring opportunities to transform books into unique musical works in collaboration with Sulfur Music Production.
